Our Position

The path to industry leadership 

 

By the middle of the twentieth century, precise metering of fluids had become a task for specialists. Herbert Ott, who founded LEWA in 1952, had an excellent reputation in this area. He understood how to produce metering pumps for complex tasks and varying applications. This particularly pleased his customers from the demanding process industry, which was then LEWA’s specialty area.

 

From family business to international group

 

With the takeover of the family-led business by Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DBAG), a strategic course has been set by the company with the newly formed LEWA Group. LEWA seeks to grow profitably, to become more active internationally and to assert and further expand its leadership in its core competencies of conveying and metering fluids – supported by taking on products of other wellknown manufacturers. LEWA customers throughout the world and in a wide range industries – from chemicals to the oil and gas industries to pharmaceuticals and foods – will continue to profit from these competence well into the future.
