Chemical & Petrochemical
In the chemical industry more and more diaphragm pumps are used. Product, occupational and environmental safety requirements make this pump type indispensable.
Hermetical tight pump heads, pressures up to 1200 bar or high temperature ranges and low operation costs safeguard the production of chemical intermediate and final products in every respect.
In high pressure processes where critical, i. e. environmentally hazardous, toxic or explosive fluids and suspensions must be reliably conveyed or metered, there is hardly an alternative to the hermetically tight LEWA metering pumps, process diaphragm pumps and metering systems.
The modular systems from LEWA allow the customers to react flexibly in all process areas:
- more than 10 drive units
- more than 10 pump heads
- special materials such as hastelloy, titanium or duplex stainless steel
- pump heads completely heatable
- connection piping with trace heating or cooling
- metal- or PTFE-sandwich diaphragm with DPS (diaphragm protection system)
- hygienic design (CIP-, SIP- and DIP-possible)
- explosion proof design
- stationary or mobile designs
Depending on design and configuration the following operating ranges are possible:
- viscosity 0,1 to 250.000 mPa · s
- fluid temperature from -80 to +200° C (converting values)
- pressure stiff pump characteristics up to 1200 bar
As a globally successful partner for metering pumps and process diaphragm pumps in the oil & gas industry many years ago already, LEWA has developed low-maintenance, robust pump heads and drive units, which have proven themselves at all imaginable locations worldwide. The technology leader LEWA provides this know-how to its customers in the chemical industry as well.
LEWA diaphragm metering pumps and LEWA package technology provide the user with the highest extent of safety for all processes, in which environmental hazardous, toxic or explosive fluids and suspensions must be conveyed reliably.
