CIP („Cleaning in Place“), SIP („Sterilizing in Place“), DIP-capable (“Drying in Place”)

The LEWA sanitary- and the LEWA hygienic pumps are CIP-capable, the Hygienic pumps are also SIP-capable (max.150°C). All wetted parts are of electro-polished stainless steel and have a very low average surface roughness (< 0,5 mm). This protects against corrosion and allows easy and efficient cleaning of the surfaces.

 

Together with the consistent use of PTFE for the static seals, the special hygienic design and the aseptic suction- and discharge connection the CIP/SIP capability is guaranteed.

 

Aseptic, quickly detachable piping connections are installed as a standard. They guarantee easy dismantling for maintenance purposes and facilitate the installation into typical pipeline arrangements.

 

The external design of the pumps, corrosion-resistant materials and the coating are selected so that easy cleaning is possible.

 

Product changeover is easily achieved by flushing followed by drying with sterile air (DIP).

 

Low maintenance and economical

 

Due to the long diaphragm uptimes of more than 8000 operating hours very long service intervals are achieved, this results in an increased availability and reduced costs.

 

Due to the standard diaphragm monitoring system and the sandwich diaphragm the production must not be stopped immediately in case of diaphragm rupture. Diaphragm replacement can be carried out – depending on the operating conditions – during a non-working shift or at the weekend. This also increases productivity and saves costs.
