In August of 1952 the LEWA Company was formed by Herbert Ott and Rudolph Schestag as an engineering company specializing in fluid metering. In 1968 LEWA embarked on a global expansion program and today LEWA has facilities in more than sixteen countries with 650 employees, and is represented in more than seventy countries.
The LEWA group has an annual turnover of more than 100 million euros.

LEWA, Inc. was formed as American LEWA in 1969 and today has three locations in North America, a sales office and a service center including part stocking in the Houston, Texas area and a sales, part stocking and design and fabrication facility in New England.
LEWA, Inc. has 32 employees and provides pump sales, engineering design and fabrication services and after-market support to the American market.
LEWA, Inc. is restructuring to provide a stronger, industry specific engineering center for the development of complete system solutions that match the advances in LEWA pump technology. LEWA, Inc. is also expanding the after-market division from the Gulf Coast Service Center to maintain the existing base of LEWA products to the highest operating standards throughout the Americas, by supporting new and existing end-users with a competent engineering service staff as well as implementing routine preventative maintenance contracts.
