Standards, regulations and guidelines

The LEWA metering and process pumps for hygienic process engineering fulfil very stringent aseptic requirements. Hygienic pumps fulfil the 3-A standard 44-03, are FDA conform regarding the wetted materials, as well as USP Class IV compliant and they correspond to the current EU standards and guidelines.

 

What else do you want?

Technically innovative solutions are not enough but they must be adapted to our customer’s processes also. In order to guarantee safety for your aseptic and sterile process control LEWA has tested the hygienic pump voluntarily on cleanability acc. to industrially approved and standardised methods. EHEDG-Cleanability-Test and QHD test system (VDMA).

Comprehensive documentation and acceptance tests

 

Detailed documentation is a matter of course for LEWA. Pump data sheets with precise indication of the pump specifications, the materials and the surface quality are part of the documentation.

 

For bio-/ pharmaceutical production additional, extensive documentation is often required for the issue of qualification- and validation documentation. LEWA optionally supplies material traceability, additional drawings, hydrostatic tests, performance tests with specific measuring reports, surface quality tests, material certificates and many others.

 

Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) can be carried out on request.
