Protection of the Environment

As a technology leader LEWA takes a proactive role in the development of environmentally sustainable process alternatives.

 

Participation in the state of Baden-Württemberg’s ECOfit project is taken for granted therefore, as is our own constant optimization of environmentally relevant in-house consumption values.

LEWA’s facts and figures speak for themselves. Some actions are cost-neutral, others may pay not for themselves for a few years but nature benefits immediately.

In total we have invested around 205,000 Euro which represents an annual financial saving of around 102,000 Euro for LEWA.

But what does this actually mean for the environment?

• 50,000 liters less heating oil
• 1,527,000 liters less drinking water
• 212,470 kWh electricity saved with a reduction in emissions of 54,445 kg CO₂

At LEWA conservation is not a project but a process. We all work continually on the process of optimization to ensure the best possible environment.
