Minimum life cycle costs: How low operating costs amortize higher initial costs

Since the expenses for unexpected operation downtimes make up on average 70 percent of the life cycle costs of a pump, it is important to make sure during the selection process that the pump is built reliably and robustly to ensure high availability. For operators and buyers, the life cycle costs for a pump gain more and more importance over the initial costs.
