Contamination-free dosing pump handling with minimal dead space and low-stagnation design

Pumps of Wangen Progressing Cavity KB Series are used for core challenges in the food and beverage industry. The electropolished stainless-steel product surfaces and the hygienic design minimizing dead space and stagnation zones to reduce residue, support effective cleaning and protect product quality that meet strict hygiene requirements. This ensures stable product quality even when handling shear-sensitive, particulate or highly viscous media. Gentle, low-pulsation conveying enables accurate dosing and consitent flow across a wide viscosity range. The pumps are applied in feeding, unloading, recirculation, suction, dosing, rinsing, and transfer operations, helping manufacturers optimize production across multiple stages.

The Wangen KB Series features a direct-coupled block construction which eliminates the need for a bearing housing, creating a compact and economical pump solution.     Low‑dead‑space geometries and constant internal flow velocities enable effective Cleaning‑in‑Place without disassembly. CIP cycles reliably reach all product‑contact areas, reducing cleaning time, contamination risk and downtime in food and beverage production

    Monitoring and Control Options

    Integrated temperature and pressure sensors to prevent the pump running dry and the excessive build-up of pressure. Frequency converters allow precise flow control and support stable, process-safe operation.

    Hygienic Material Option

    Choose between stainless steel 1.4301 or 1.4571 for casing, pressure and suction flange. Stators are available in NBR, FPM, silicon, EPDM, pressure-stable EvenWall designs or solid stators made of POM to ensure hygienic, durable performance.

    Stator and Rotor Variants

    Rotors and Stators in up to 8 pressure stages and available as S-, L-, and H geometric forms.

    ATEX Certification

    Pump manufactured in accordance with the ATEX guidelines for use in areas with potentially explosive atmospheres.

    Viscous Media Handling

    Stainless steel cardan joints, optionally with sleeve, combined with a feed screw ensure reliable and continuous pumping of highly viscous media.
