7. Processing of Data Through Cookies and Other Analysis Technologies
Our website uses so-called "cookies" to make our website more user-friendly, effective, and secure—for example, by speeding up navigation on our platform. Cookies also allow us to measure page visit frequency and general navigation patterns.
Cookies are small text files stored on your computer system. Some cookies are transferred from our server to your computer system and are known as "session cookies." Session cookies are automatically deleted from your hard drive when the browser session ends.
Other cookies remain on your computer system and enable us to recognize your device during future visits (persistent cookies).
You may generally refuse cookies if your browser allows it. However, this may limit the functionality and convenience of our website.
When visiting our website, you can review information about the cookies used and configure your preferences. Except for cookies required for website operation, you may accept or reject cookies according to your preferences.
By clicking the "Privacy Settings" icon located in the lower-left corner of each page of our website, you can review and modify your saved settings at any time.
7.1 Analysis by WiredMinds
Our website uses tracking pixel technology from WiredMinds GmbH (www.wiredminds.de) to analyze visitor behavior. Where necessary, data is collected, processed, and stored to create user profiles under a pseudonym. These usage profiles are anonymized whenever possible and appropriate.
This service is used only after you have given your consent.
Following your consent, cookies may be used. The collected data, which may also contain personal data, is transmitted to WiredMinds or collected directly by WiredMinds. WiredMinds may use information generated during website visits to create anonymized usage profiles.
Without the explicit consent of the data subject, the collected data will not be used to personally identify visitors, nor will it be merged with personal data belonging to the holder of the pseudonym.
IP addresses are anonymized immediately by deleting the last block of digits.
By clicking the "Privacy Settings" icon located in the lower-left corner of each page, you may opt out of website tracking by WiredMinds.
7.2 Use of Matomo
This website uses the open-source web analytics service Matomo.
Matomo uses technologies that enable cross-page user recognition for analyzing user behavior (e.g., cookies or device fingerprinting). Information collected by Matomo about the use of this website is stored on our server, and IP addresses are anonymized before storage.
The use of this analytics tool is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior anonymously to optimize both our website and advertising efforts.
Information collected by Matomo regarding your use of this website is not shared with third parties.
7.3 Google Re-/Marketing Services
Provided that you have given your consent, we use Google Inc.'s ("Google") remarketing and marketing functions on our website.
This function enables us to display interest-based advertisements to visitors of our website within Google's advertising network. Your browser stores cookies that allow you to be recognized when visiting websites that belong to Google's advertising network.
You may then be shown advertisements related to content you previously viewed on websites using Google's remarketing functionality.
According to Google, no personal data is collected during this process.
If you do not wish to use Google's remarketing function, you can disable it through the settings available at:
www.google.com/settings/ads
Alternatively, you can disable interest-based advertising cookies through the Network Advertising Initiative:
www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp
Further information about Google's remarketing services and privacy practices can be found at:
www.google.com/privacy/ads/
You may also opt out of interest-based advertising through Google's advertising preference settings:
www.google.com/ads/preferences
8. Data Processing by YouTube
Our website contains embedded YouTube videos.
We merely provide the technical connection to YouTube. However, when a YouTube video is displayed, data is transferred to YouTube, for which we obtain your consent beforehand.
YouTube is a service provided by Google Inc. Information regarding the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by Google, as well as your rights and privacy settings, can be found in YouTube's privacy policy:
9. Friendly Captcha
Friendly Captcha is a protection solution designed to make automated abuse of websites by bots more difficult. We therefore use the Friendly Captcha service on our website.
On certain pages (e.g., contact forms), we have integrated Friendly Captcha code. This causes your device to connect to Friendly Captcha servers when interacting with protected areas.
Your browser receives a computational challenge from Friendly Captcha. The complexity of the challenge depends on various risk factors. Your device solves the challenge and sends the result to our web server, which communicates with Friendly Captcha to verify correctness.
In addition, your browser transmits:
- Connection data
- Environmental data
- Interaction data
- Functional data
Friendly Captcha evaluates this data to determine the likelihood that the user is a human or a bot and communicates the result to us.
Based on the result, we may grant or deny access to our website or specific functions.
Friendly Captcha guarantees that:
- Data is used solely to detect and manage potential bots and risks.
- Data is not used to identify individuals or for marketing purposes.
- No personal visitor data is stored.
- Potentially identifying information (such as IP addresses) is anonymized using one-way hashing.
- No HTTP cookies are used.
- No persistent browser storage is utilized.
Further information is available at:
friendlycaptcha.com/en/legal/privacy-end-users/
10. Links to Other Websites
Our website contains links to external websites.
We have no influence over whether operators of external websites comply with data protection regulations.
We are responsible for our own content in accordance with applicable laws. Links to content provided by third parties must be distinguished from our own content. We assume no responsibility for third-party content accessible via links and do not adopt such content as our own.
The provider of the referenced website is solely responsible for any illegal, incorrect, or incomplete content, as well as for any damages resulting from the use or non-use of such information.
Upon becoming aware of legal violations, we will remove the affected links immediately.
11. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right at any time to obtain free information about the personal data stored about you, as well as the right to have such data corrected, restricted, or deleted.
Where legal retention obligations apply, we will restrict processing rather than delete your data, ensuring it is no longer used for the purposes described above.
You also have the right to receive your personal data in electronic form.
You may withdraw your consent for data storage and processing at any time with future effect. In such cases, we will delete your data without undue delay or restrict processing where deletion is not legally permitted.
Please contact us using the contact details provided below.
If you believe your data is not being processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority of your choice.
You may file complaints with a supervisory authority.
11.1 Right to Object
You have the right, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you that is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (processing based on legitimate interests), including profiling based on this provision within the meaning of Art. 4(4) GDPR.
If you object, we will cease processing your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for processing that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or unless processing serves the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
12. Data Security
Your personal data is transmitted over the Internet in encrypted form using SSL encryption technology (Secure Sockets Layer).
Please note that data transmission over the Internet (including email communication) may contain security vulnerabilities. Complete protection against access by third parties cannot be guaranteed.
We protect our website and other systems through technical and organizational measures against loss, destruction, unauthorized access, alteration, or dissemination of your data. These security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
Access to your customer account is possible only by entering your personal password. You should always keep your login information confidential and close your browser window after completing your communication with us, especially if you share your computer with others.
