Gas odorization is a safety-critical function in gas distribution and places the highest demands on reliability, ease of operation, and long-term viability. With the OCM, LEWA offers a modern odorization control system based on an open, modular automation platform.

The OCM enables precise, flow-dependent control of the metering pump and ensures safe, reliable, and reproducible odorant dosing. Its graphical process visualization provides maximum transparency and intuitive operation. Modular design of the odor control unit

The OCM is a scalable, modular control system that can be flexibly adapted to a wide range of plant concepts and application requirements. Its clear modular design enables easy expansion, simplified maintenance, and seamless integration into existing systems.

Key modules at a glance

  • PSM – Power Supply Module
    Generation of the internal 24 VDC control voltage from either 24 VDC or 230 VAC, including circuit protection and an ON/OFF switch.
  • SPM – Solenoid Pump Module
    Control of up to two solenoid-driven pumps, including integrated protection (special versions available).
  • TTM – Thermistor Tripping Module
    Monitoring of the motor protection thermistors (PTC sensors) of the solenoid-driven pump (e.g., MLM 40).
  • REM – Relay Module
    Potential-free signal exchange and power relays for the control of solenoid valves.
  • CTM – Control / I-O Module
    Central PLC for processing all input and output signals, including system visualization via a 4.3" operator panel.
  • EX-Module (EX1 / EX2)
    Integration of intrinsically safe instrumentation, such as flow meters, level probes, and proximity sensors.
